Dr. Zaverdas is a Naturopathic Doctor and Nutrition Specialist who specializes in unexplained chronic illness, both for adults with underlying autoimmune diseases, and pediatrics with unexplained symptoms. From a young age, Dr. Zaverdas saw her friends and family struggle with serious illnesses, with little help from the conventional system. Dr. Zaverdas set out to end the medical mysteries her loved ones were experiencing by providing thorough and well-researched comprehensive healthcare. She has a special love for working with pediatrics, as these patients rebound the fastest when provided with the proper healing environment.

My journey to becoming a naturopathic doctor began with a lifelong curiosity about health. In fourth grade, I gave up ice cream after a lesson on heart health—a small glimpse of my passion for wellness. Years later, when my best friend was diagnosed with leukemia, I dove deep into research on diet and cancer, uncovering the profound impact of nutrition and lifestyle. My own cancer scare further solidified my path after herbal medicine helped me heal where conventional treatments fell short. Today, I’m committed to combining traditional and Western approaches to empower my patients on their journey to better health. Whether you’re managing chronic symptoms or seeking preventative care, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

In my practice, I take a root-cause approach—addressing not just the symptoms, but the underlying imbalances that create disease. I regularly work with patients who have seen multiple specialists without answers, helping them uncover hidden food sensitivities, stealth infections, hormonal dysregulation, and environmental toxicities. My approach is deeply individualized; no two treatment plans are alike because no two people are alike. I also emphasize patient education, ensuring each individual understands their own body and feels empowered to take charge of their wellness.

My clinical interests include complex autoimmune conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, chronic fatigue, thyroid disorders, and pediatric neurodevelopmental and GI concerns. I am trained in advanced functional testing, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, and mind-body therapies to support both physiological and emotional healing. I believe that healing is not just about what we remove—such as inflammatory foods or toxins—but also about what we add: nourishment, community, rest, and purpose.

I work closely with families to restore health in children who are struggling with chronic issues such as eczema, behavioral challenges, sleep problems, bowel issues, and recurring infections. It brings me great joy to watch children thrive once their bodies are supported holistically. I also collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure my patients receive well-rounded and integrative care.
