Dr. Nari Salim 
ND, MS, LAc, CNS, LDN

Dr. Nari is the staff internal medicine Naturopathic Doctor at Nourish Healthcare. In addition to her doctorate,  Dr. Nari also has a Masters of Science in Acupuncture, is a certified nutrition specialist, and a licensed dietician nutritionist. She completed her naturopathic internal medicine residency at Nourish Healthcare and trained directly under Dr. Michael Robinson. 
 

Dr. Nari specializes in the Gut-Brain connection & Women's health, working with patients suffering from hormonal imbalances, mental/emotional health problems & chronic gastrointestinal disturbances. She works with patients suffering from chronic constipation, diarrhea, IBS, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, SIBO, and connects these conditions to how the gut and brain interplay, often leading to mental emotional distress, thyroid disorders and other hormonal imbalances. She believes that to address and treat the root cause of disease a combination of therapy provides the best results. She works by combining her naturopathic and functional medicine training and her traditional Eastern medicine modalities including acupuncture, chinese herbology & botanical medicine, cupping, and moxibustion training to ensure her patients are able to get a truly wholistic approach.

  • Dr. Nari is passionate about changing our healthcare system. She is working with the Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians to advocate for increased access to naturopathic medicine in IL. 

  • When she is not in the office, Dr. Nari spends her time cooking healthy and local foods, studying oriental medicine, and spending time with her partner, who is also a natural healthcare provider.
